Stea won the commission to prepare a concept plan (and then subsequently the detailed design and documentation) for a warbirds aviation visitor centre.

The centre consists of a 3200 m² hangar area displaying an extensive collection of operational World War II warbirds.  The balance of the building consists of a two-story annex housing administrative support, cafe, gift shop, small mezzanine convention centre, as well as a separate terminal area.  The curved roof forms, reminiscent of the hangars of yesteryear, provide a unique and appropriate venue for a tourist attraction.
